Course Outline and Benefits
Rewarding and fun - that best describes the PADI Rescue Diver course. This course will expand your knowledge and experience level - Rescue Divers learn to look beyond themselves and consider the safety and well being of other divers. Although this course is serious, it is an enjoyable way to build your confidence.
This 3 day course is designed for those divers who already hold the PADI Advanced Open Water Certificate. Prior to starting the course you will receive all the course materials, including the PADI Rescue Diver Manual. Upon completion of this course you will be awarded the PADI Rescue Diver certification card and be trained to anticipate & prevent problems and manage dive emergencies
Course Requirements
PADI Advanced Open Water Diver but you can enrol in the Rescue Diver course as a certified Open Water Diver and participate in the Rescue Diver knowledge development and rescue training sessions in confined water only, while working on your Advanced Open Water Diver certification. To participate in the rescue training sessions in open water and open water rescue scenarios, you must be certified as a PADI Advanced Open Water Diver.
Aged over 12 years.
Documentation of successful completion of a sanctioned course in Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR-Primary Care) and Basic First Aid (Secondary Care) within the past two years. The Emergency First Response Primary Care and Secondary Care courses meet these requirements.
Course Itinerary
Days one and two comprise of the academic in the purpose built classroom and practical rescue skill sessions in the swimming pool.
The third day comprises of rescue scenarios which will be conducted in an open water environment.

The PADI Rescue Diver course is often considered the most rewarding dive-training courses and, while it is extremely challenging, it is also a fun experience, and you gain plenty of practical experience from the scenarios.
