Boat Diver
Course Outline and Benefits
Through the PADI Boat Diver Specialty course, you can learn the techniques and procedures for diving from different types of boats. You will learn about boat diving planning, organisation, procedures, techniques, problems and hazards, proper boat diving etiquette, including equipment, storage and conduct, common boat terminology, specific and local boat diving laws and ordinances, and an overview of emergency and safety equipment needed on both private and professional charter dive boats.
Upon successful completion of the course, the PADI Boat Diver Specialty certification card is awarded. You may also apply for the PADI Master Scuba Diver rating if you are a PADI Rescue Diver or has a qualifying certification from another organisation with certification in four other PADI Specialty ratings.
Course Requirements
- Be 10 years of age or older.
- Be certified as a PADI Open Water Diver, Junior Open Water Diver or have a qualifying certification from another training organisation.
Course Itinerary
The course consists of some knowledge development sessions.
There are two open water training dives during this course. On each dive, you will practice simple boat diving techniques.
Each dive is designed to maximise your fun and enjoyment while you are professionally supervised by your PADI Instructor.
